It's an integral part of puja and is performed as an act of veneration and love.

   Scientific Point of View:The heat from the flame is believed to have a purifying effect on the environment. Moreover, performing Aarti involves circular movements, which might aid in the even distribution of heat and smoke, which can carry antiseptic benefits from certain offerings.

   Light symbolizes knowledge and wisdom. By performing aarti, devotees are seeking spiritual illumination and the dispelling of ignorance. The circular motion of the aarti represents the cyclical nature of creation and the eternal cosmic dance.
